The Transit Development Plan (TDP) represents the community’s vision for public transportation in the Ocala Marion TPO service area for a 10-year span. Updated every five years, the Plan provides a comprehensive assessment of transit services in Marion County. Specifically, the TDP details SunTran’s transit and mobility needs, cost and revenue projections, and community transit goals, objectives, and policies.
As required by the Florida Department of Transportation, SunTran must update the TDP every five years to ensure transit services offered meet the mobility needs of the local communities. Among other requirements, the TDP must include 10-year estimates of the community’s demand for transit service.
